What is Tarjumah and how does it work?
1. Microphone Input:
The earbuds have built-in microphones that listen to the prayer being recited in Arabic, whether it’s live in a mosque, from a speaker, or from a person nearby.
2. Speech Recognition (ASR):
The earbuds use Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to detect and transcribe the spoken Arabic words.
3. AI-Powered Translation:
The recognized Arabic text is sent through an AI translation app trained on religious language and Tajweed (like Quranic Arabic), which converts it into clear, accurate English.
4. Real-Time Audio Output:
The translated English is then spoken into the user’s ear almost instantly, using text-to-speech (TTS) technology.
How long does the battery last?
Tarjumah offers up to 6 hours of continuous use on a single charge, with an additional 24 hours battery life and 18 hours from the included charging case.
Do I need to download an app?
Yes, Tarjumah will be paired with a custom mobile app available on the App Store and Google Play. The app will allow you to manage translation settings, update firmware, and access new features.
How many languages does it support?
Tarjumah will have 50 languages available reflecting the diversity of Muslims worldwide and growing number of people from various cultural backgrounds embracing Islam.

The audio must be loud and clear for the technology to pick up an accurate translation.

While the app uses advanced tools and quality control standards, such external audio factors are beyond the control of the developers.
